J C Bose University

Before the University came into existence, it had a humble beginning in 1969 as YMCA Institute of Engineering with an intake of 120 students. It was an Indo-German Project – a Joint Venture of the State Government (erstwhile Punjab) and National Council of YMCAs of India with active assistance from overseas Agencies of West Germany. The Institute was started with the aim to impart technical education to a developing India on German pattern and to produce highly practical oriented personnel in specialized fields of engineering to meet specific technical manpower requirements of industries.

The salient features of German education have been retained by the University and as such the University stands apart from other Universities of Haryana. The sophisticated equipment and machines in the workshops and laboratories enable the students to operate various machines independently so as to acquire thorough knowledge and develop competence in their respective skills.

The University has a rich alumni network as its alumni are the leaders in the Industry and corporate world. They have played a significant role in the Industrial development of Faridabad and contributing significantly to the techno-economic growth of the country.

The present campus of the University is situated on National Highway-2, Mathura Road, 30 km from National Capital, Delhi. The University campus is located in the sprawling Faridabad-Ballabgarh Industrial complex. The State Government has also allotted 18 acres of land to the University on Faridabad-Gurugram Road in village Bhakari for its second campus.

S.K. Salvi served as Adjunct Faculty (Broadcast Consultant) from 14th Jan 2021 for their complete Broadcast Engineering Mass Comm Studio Facility Project implementation.

Scope of work done in J.C.Bose university, YMCA, Faridabad as a Adjunct faculty /TV broadcast consultant;

1. Technical Advised on allocation/Civil structure of J.C. Bose , Media Studio for Studio, PCR, ,Production Room, Server Room, Audio Production Room, WEB Streaming, Green Room etc.

2. Technical advised on Planning of Technical space allocation & floor requirement for Racked equipment, Technical furniture's design according to equipment's for PCR, Sound Room, Studio, Monitor wall, Production Room, Server Room, Green Room etc.

3. Advised on Audio/Video/Power/Data cable path and cabling layout of the complete Media Studio.

4. Advised on electrical wiring for: MCR, Studio, Monitor wall Editing/Graphic Production Room, Server Room, Studio LED lighting

5. Advised on Media Studio UPS capacity and Cabling Path 

6. Advised on Media Studio Emergency lighting

7. Advised on Media Studio Operational lighting

8. Advised on selection and making of Media Studio broadcast Technology equipment’s on cost and quality effectiveness basis

9. Advised on selection of equipment and supervising assistance for quality installation of Media Studio

10. Advised on allocation of HD camera systems   

11. Advised and Supervised of Wired Diagram/cabling done by 3rd Party Vendor (SRSG)

12. Supervised of installation of the Engineering equipment's/ Playout systems & Streaming done by 3rd Party Vendor (SRSG)

Scope of Work to be provided in Near future as a Adjunct Faculty/TV Broadcast Consultant; 

1. Final Testing and operations of individual installed Media Broadcast Technical equipment's in Media Studio viz: Main Studio equipment’s, PCR, Audio Production Room, Production Room, Server Room  before taking final handover provided by 3rd Party Vendor(SRSG).

2. Final Testing of individual Audio/Video/Data signal path as per wired system diagrams of studio provided by 3rd Party Vendor ( SRSG)

3. Final Testing of Controlling & monitoring data path before handling over studio provided by 3rd Party Vendor ( SRSG)

4. To check Smooth operation of the installed Technical Broadcast systems

5. Conducting Technical training program for Students of Mass Media and Technical crew of University on installed Studio/ PCR/Server Room/Audio Production Room etc.
