Why the Faculty of Mass Communication & Media Technology at SGT is special?

The Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology boasts of State of the Art Infrastructure with a fully equipped studio with multi camera operations, outdoor shooting cameras, aerial drone camera and a sophisticated Production Control room with online switching software for live and deferred recording as well as Post Production editing suites for Video editing. . The Faculty has a bevy of professional cameras, both for video and motion picture work and still photography. Professional Camera persons and Editors permanently on the rolls assist students with their projects. An online student News website has been provided for uploading articles, photographs and videos to hone the journalistic skills of the students. The Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology comprise a judicious mix of faculty with rich academic and industrial experience which provides the students with holistic education.

The students can also train themselves as Radio and Television Producers or RJ’s or VJ’s at the upcoming facility of COMMUNITY TELEVISION & RADIO STATION at SGT University. Students are assigned a mentor who is not only responsible for their academic growth but also to address their other concerns. The mentor acts like a friend, philosopher and guide to the students and helps them in every way he/she can. The mentor also maintains an ongoing dialogue with the students’ parents and keeps them briefed about their progress throughout the semester.

Pedagogy and Teaching Methodology

The Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology have an innovative teaching pedagogy strategy. Practical hands on training is provided for the students using the latest equipment and well trained technicians. All classrooms are fitted with overhead projectors to facilitate better teaching methods. Classes are also supplemented by Power Point Presentations and instructional videos.

It gives us an immense pleasure to introduce to you SGT (Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary) University, Gurugram, which spreads over 70 acres of lush green campus enveloped with serene beauty and environment. The University is situated at Chandu-Bhudera on the outskirts of Gurgaon, it is less than five kilometers from Delhi border at Daurala and has an easy and convenient access from I.G International Airport.

SGT University came into existence by the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act No. 8 of 2013 making educational opportunities available to all segments of the society under the parasol of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, which was founded in 1999 with the holly cause of propagating the message of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the great philosopher and social reformer which says “spread of learning is the best service to mankind”. In fact, the seeds for its magnificent growth were sown way back in 2002 with the establishment of the SGT Dental College.
